Mid-World Arts Writing Critique Group

Welcome to the Mid-World Arts Writers’ Group. We’re a writing critique group dedicated to making the literary work of its members the best it can be. Mid-World Arts is focused on critiquing the writing of serious authors, writers who intend to submit their work to agents and publishers, or who plan to self-publish and wish their work to be as polished as possible.

Each week, we meet to critique two works submitted the week before. Most meetings are held virtually on the Zoom video platform on Tuesdays at 7:30pm Eastern.

If you're interested in joining our group, meet us on Zoom during one of our regular meetings. You can hang out and see if the group has the vibe you're looking for and sign off whenever you like.

Artificial Intelligence in MWA. We do not critique work that has been written, edited, or otherwise touched by artificial intelligence. Work submitted that has been run through AI will be roundly rejected. Nor do we condone the use of artificial intelligence agents to critique the work of our members. If you use AI to critique the work of fellow authors, that is grounds for your dismissal from our membership. Basically, if you use AI as part of your writing process, this isn’t the group for you.
